  Friendly staff who were very accommodating, as we booked with a decent group size and several young ones. The soft-shell crab was excellent and meaty. The other dishes were fairly average as far as Thai food goes, and definitely more expensive than others of competitive value and taste. Limited street parking is available, and there is a nice walking area outside.

  Went for Saturday Lunch and it was quite busy.
  Lovely decor. Friendly staff.
  Was told to use the app to order but had problems processing order. For entree we had the Thai fish cakes and the spring rolls (very nice and different)
  We also ordered the Pad Thai and Barramundi (favourite dish). Overall, we enjoyed all meals we ordered.

  Chong Co is a chain of Thai restaurants, much like Kinn Thai or Holy Basil. The Chong Co in Kingston is exactly like all the others, right up to the serene Buddha statue. Its location on Kingston Foreshore amplifies this serenity and gives it a touch of elegance.
  
  The food and drinks menu is extensive. There are some great fried entrees, crunchy and dripping in oily goodness. (Slightly undermining the elegance factor, but these are crowd favourites missing from more hoity toity Asian fusion places) We were served net/lace crab rolls which didn't contain crab, it had baby shrimp and shiitake which was nevertheless quite tasty. As for the prawn rolls, they had been dunked in a doughy fish&chip shop type batter before being wrapped in a wonton wrapper. The stir fry type dishes look more like a Chinese stir fry & meat/vege ratio is low enough to be noticeable, but not enough to call them stingy. There's also chicken, duck and pork salad for the health conscious. Most of the dishes are clichéd Thai dishes you see in every Thai restaurant like red curry, green curry, massaman, pad Thai.
  
  Service is good, 4/5. ( The reason for this review having 4 stars instead of 3). Staff were pleasant and accommodating. You have enough time to enjoy your meal, the same can't be said for Kinn Thai or Zaab.
  Chong Co is great for families and large groups. Recommended dish: lamb ribs.
  Fried tofu appetizer looked great, but did not order this time.

  Great food, the Crispy pork belly stir-fried with Chinese broccoli is a MUST TRY! We order the flat noodles stir fry with beef, that one was also decent. The only mediocre dish was soft shell crab papaya salad. The salad was not well-seasoned, and the papaya was actually a bit bitter. Anyhow, staffs were helpful and waiting time for food was so so (we waited for around 10 minutes). Overall, it’s a good place for a family gathering dinner.

  Nice location overlooking the lake with ample seating capacity indoor and outdoor.
  Food was a little underwhelming but friendly service.
  Street parking available or the car park next to Old Bus Depot.

  Thought I had food poisoning but it was actually my appendix that became inflamed after eating here, had surgery. The food tasted great just wish they put more in each meal.
